The Parallel Young Persons Centre
The Parallel provides a comprehensive general health service, including sexual health services for young people (aged from 11-19 years) including:
- Free condoms
- Sexual Health information and advice
- Emergency contraception
- Sexual Health screening for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
- Emotional Health and wellbeing including counselling and support

Access to Free Condoms
Young people can access free condoms once registered onto the Bolton Condom Scheme. There are a list of venues in Bolton that are registered with the scheme and once registered you are able to pick up free condoms on production of your scheme membership card. You can register onto the scheme at any of the venues listed. For more information about the condom scheme please call Howard, Bolton Condom Scheme Coordinator on 01204 387442.
Young Gay Mens' Service
Young gay men (up to 25 years of age) can access 1-1 support and/or attend a support/social group which meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at The Parallel from 6-8pm. Condoms and lubricant can also be accessed through this service.
