Sexual Health Training
The Bolton Sexual Health Training Pool has developed a training programme that will meet the needs of a wide range of practitioners including health professionals and workers in statutory and voluntary agencies. All our sexual health trainers are qualified to a high standard all holding nationally recognised qualifications in the field of sexual health training. We currently provide the following training in Bolton:
Sexploration -
A one day course for workers to develop an holistic approach to sexual health through exploration of attitudes and values.
Delaying Early Sex ‘Let’s Leave it Till Later’ -
A two day course for workers to develop additional skills in order to help young people see the benefits of delaying early sex and to give young people the skills and confidence to resist pressure to have sex they don’t want.
Level 2 Certificate in Sexual Health and Young People –
A four day course for workers working with young people who want to gain more skills and confidence in delivering sexual health and relationships education.
Condom Promotion Scheme Training -
A two hour course for workers from voluntary and statutory agencies who currently participate, or would like to, in the Bolton Condom Promotion Scheme.

The courses are available free of charge to those working in Bolton from both the voluntary and statutory sectors. Workers from outside of Bolton can access these courses (see course booklet for fees).

Peer Education Programme
The sexual health training pool is developing a sexual health peer education programme. Training will be provided for young people to become peer educators around sexual health issues.
