Local Services Providing Sexual Health Care in Bolton
Sexual health services are provided in a range of settings, in primary and
acute trusts, in other statutory sector settings, as well as in the
community, voluntary and independent sectors. As stated in the 'Recommended Standards for Sexual Health Services' published by the Medical Foundation
for AIDS and Sexual Health (MedFASH) in 2005:
"The promotion of sexual health should provide the information, support,
and opportunities to enhance personal and social skills, to enable people to
exercise control over, and improve, their sexual health. It should be fully
integrated within a wide range of local services and settings, clinical and
