Resources

In order to support the delivery of effective sexual health services and to promote the sexual health and well being of Bolton residents the Bolton Sexual Health Network aims to make sexual health resources accessible to both practitioners and individuals within Bolton. There are a wide range of resources focussing on sexual health available from Bolton PCT Learning and Resource Library. These include:

A range of 16 leaflets, 'Looking after your sexual health', which provide information about each sexually transmitted infection (STI), how they are transmitted, signs and symptoms, treatment options and advice on how to protect from becoming infected. These are produced by the Family Planning Association (FPA) and are available free of charge.

A wide range of leaflets on individual methods of contraception, abortion and planning a pregnancy are also produced by the FPA and are available at no charge.

There is a range of leaflets also produced by the FPA which focus on sexual health and young people which are available in limited quantities as there is a charge to the library for these.
